​22 was an ambush

A sneak attack, blindsided

Woke up an adult, suddenly accountable,

Dealing with the consequences 

of my own actions, a wake up call and 

A strongly worded letter with

Unsolicited advice from yours truly,

Get your shit together

With the nicest compliments

Sealed with a smile, and a middle finger,

Today will feel longer than it needs to

And so will tomorrow,

Nobody cares enough to save you

And given your reclusiveness,

Nobody even knows what you’re going through,

Save yourself from another week of nothing,

Forever a ticking time bomb,

You’re free now, enlightened with this revelation 

Of self awareness, Consistency is key, 

Atomic habits and accountability,

Suddenly you’re responsible

For your own goddamn happiness,

And it’s so much easier 

than they made it seem.
