Starless Sky

There is a starless sky waiting for you. 
A windless landscape waiting for your smile.
A burning forest line waiting for your kiss.
A river frozen in place waiting for you to bring it back to life.
And there is a broken girl waiting for the heart you took away.
Maybe the sky could survive with a lone moon.
The forest will burn down leaving ashes behind. It will take a couple decades and the saplings will learn to grow again.
The trees will grow again, and lake will eventually thaw.
The heart will never grow again, but the girl will learn that emptiness is a lie.  Maybe she gave her heart, but she can't loose her essence. That girl runs deep into the ground like the roots touching the core of the earth. Try all you want you cannot take that away.
So the starless sky can stay, because the Sun never left.
